5by5 is a Saskatoon, SK based technology company that specializes in building custom software, web site design, live production, software design and facilitation for conferences and conventions. We used to be – and still are – Objectified Software Inc. Our legal company name will not change in the near future, but we will be carrying on business as 5by5 (for software) and 5by5 live (for live production).

What is this 5 by 5 thing anyway? The accepted definition (according to Wikipedia) is that this means the best possible radio signal report in the modern signal strength and readability report system, or simply put, loud and clear. We really liked this idea and thought it extended to both aspects of what we do – the development of IT tools that involve the communication of information, and our live production team making sure that messages and performances are clearly communicated to the audience. So here we are!

FAQs

 

What timezone is the AVDC website using?

ADT (Atlantic Daylight Time) timezone. This includes all CE Courses, virtual events/ presentations hosted by Exhibitors, Exhibitors online hours, etc. Here is handy timezone converter if you are in a different timezone: https://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/

Do I need a Zoom account?

You will be prompted to download & join the Zoom meeting when you click Join Meeting on your first event (note this may take a minute or two). If you do not wish to download Zoom, you may click 'Join in Browser' to view the session in a webpage. We strongly suggest that you set up an account prior to June 10th. If you don't already have a Zoom account, you can sign up here: https://zoom.us/.

Can I update my Courses after I've already registered and paid? 

Yes! Simply login, go to My Registration under the My Account top dropdown menu to view the Courses you've signed up for. Toggle the Courses on/off you wish to Join. You will be prompted to pay if you have a new balance outstanding or will have a credit under your name to be refunded. A tutorial video can be found further down on this page.

Do I need to scan-in upon entering an Event to track I attended?

No, once you have entered the Zoom event, our system will mark you as scanned-in with a timestamp.

How do I find and attend my courses?

Once you have registered and paid for your courses, click on Enter Virtual Convention and sign in. You will be directed to My Account where you will find a list of the courses that you have registered for. You can also find this list under My Schedule. Click the 'Join Meeting' link next to each course when it comes time to join the session. If you have any trouble at all, please find us at the registration desk. 

Where do I find my CE report?

Your CE Attendance Report can be found under the top dropdown menu My Account > Attendance Report

Do I receive a credit for attending the Tradeshow?

Yes! You must visit at least 1 virtual booth to recieve credit for the tradeshow. To visit the tradeshow, click 'Enter Virtual Tradeshow' on your 'My Account' page.
