Paint and Pinot night with Holly Carr and Jason Noel
About This Event
Join celebrated Nova Scotia artist Holly Carr and the NLDA’s own Dr. Jason Noel for an evening of painting instruction coupled with some wine tasting. A paint materials and wine list will be provided to all registrants. Snap a photo of your completed masterpiece and send it in – the winning entry will receive a Holly Carr prize pack! There will also be a second prize winner who will receive a bottle of wine that is discussed during the evening.
About your hosts:
Holly Carr is a nationally- celebrated artist, recognized for her silk painting. Her work has lent itself to everything from commercial ads to children’s books, and was a focal point of a cross Canada tour with Stuart McLean and the Vinyl Café. Dr. Jason Noel graduated Dalhousie dentistry in 2000. Not long after graduation he brought a 1997 Banfi Brunello di Montalcino home from the wine shop. He was curious as to why someone would spend $40 on a bottle of wine. The rest as they say is history. That wonderful bottle sparked his passion for all things wine. For 20 years, he has been tasting and collecting wine. Chances are if he’s reading a book, it’s about wine. He has completed Level II Sommelier training from the International Sommelier Guild and has offered guided wine tastings in his spare time. He has also been the unofficial Sommelier for NLDA social events.
