TREATMENT PLANNING WITH COMPOSITE RESIN

About this Seminar

Composite resin restorations, traditionally considered a secondary treatment to porcelain, are emerging as a preferred treatment option for a variety of applications. When well executed, this artistic and highly versatile treatment option provides patients with a minimally invasively, esthetically pleasing and time efficient treatment alternative.

This virtual composite artistry course will review a working knowledge of material properties, illustrate the importance of smile design principles and highlight the art of layering and polishing composite to achieve remarkable restorations which harmonize invisibly into the surrounding dentition.

There will demonstration of composite resin application including:

 -repairing a Class 1V fracture

 -masking a discolored tooth

 -diastema closure

- restoring incisal wear and cervical abfraction

 -masking an undesirable crown margin

-restoring a missing tooth with a transitional composite maryland bridge

About Dr. Jenine Arab O’Malley

Dr. Jenine Arab O’Malley is a graduate of Dalhouise University, and owner of Halifax Dental Studio in Nova Scotia.  With a natural gift for artistic dentistry, she is distinguished as Atlantic Canada’s first AACD accredited dentist and recognized by Dental Products Report as One of The Top Women in Dentistry.

The recipient of the Progress Club Women of Excellence Award, Dr. Arab O’Malley is recognized as a leader in her field for implementing composite artistry in the restorative rehabilitation of esthetics and wear. As a mentor of Cosmedent’s Emmersion Program, she has lectured both nationally and internationally.

In her practice, Dr.Arab O’Malley has launched “Give Back A Smile Program” where she advocates composite resin artistry to restore the smiles and confidence of those in need.

A mother of four, Dr. Arab O’Malley expresses her artistic creativity in many facets of her life enjoying interior decorating, sewing, gourmet cooking and Zumba dancing.
